Board good, crayon not so much

The board itself is pretty neat! My kids have it outside thier bedroom door and it looks pretty cool.it mounts easily enough, using a wall stick (removabale... have tried to remove though!) to a vel;cro interface, so the board can be removed and put back.My only negative is the included crayon set's lighter colors are not vivid. It may be the board itself, not sure, but the lighter colors seem almost 'faint'Its a neat board though and I do like it...more importantly, my kids like it!

Love the crayons, easy wipe with a wet rag

This is a cute wipe off board with a nice hook feature and crayons. These crayons work on the board and don't smear or dry out like regular dry erase markers. It comes with crayons and a little microfiber cloth as an eraser. The board wipes off really easy if the rag is slightly damp. The board has little flecks in it which is nice, rather than it bring shiny white. The shape is cute for messages. Another cool feature is the hanger. It comes with a command strip and a holder so you just pop the board on and off the holder.

Not as vibrant as I'd like

While I understand the annoyance of dry erase markers, they are bright and vibrant. Crayons just aren't. So while this board is cool, the crayons are not nearly as bright. I'm also concerned because once the crayons are worn out or lost, then it's just a regular white board. So it's cute, and it is a good size and it does hang well (the sticky stuff sticks - so be careful). It is easy to hang up and there is no residue left on the white board from the crayons. Use a damp cloth to wipe it off - and it comes off easily. So the quality is good, but it's not bright and you do need special crayons.

Color Your Thoughts. No Markers, No Mess!

The Thought Bubble Dry-Erase Crayon Board by DoodleFace is such a fun and creative addition to our home! I absolutely love that it uses dry-erase crayons instead of markers, no more dried-out tips, harsh smells, or accidental smudges everywhere. The colors are vibrant, smooth, and wipe away easily with the included eraser. The thought bubble design is adorable and adds personality to any wall. It's perfect for leaving notes, reminders, inspirational quotes, or just fun daily doodles. The wall-mount setup was simple, and the board feels sturdy and high-quality, you can really tell it's well made. It's also a big plus that it's made in the USA. If you're looking for a cleaner, more colorful way to share messages at home, this board is a total win. So much fun for both kids and adults!

Really enjoy it. Crayons need a little push.

We've been playing with board for about a week now and have really enjoyed it. I was a little thrown off at first but the spotted "design" on the actual board (picture 2) but I actually like! It gives the board a different look than other dry erase boards. The snap on feature in the back is a great addition. I honestly wish more dry erase boards would come with something similar because sometimes writing on a board already hanging can be a struggle. It's been fairly easy to clean with the provided cloth (also a bonus). The crayons are nice but you do need to press a little hard to get them to write really well. It's nice that it comes with so many different colors too. Overall for the price, this is a great board to use for everyday use and for play!

Hard to Erase

I think it is a cute idea. It's nice for long lasting messages but maybe not as nice for regular drawing, erasing and drawing more. It's not easy to erase the crayon although getting the microfiber cloth wet does help. You still have to use a bit of elbow grease to remove the crayon, it's not like a white board marker at all. You also have to push pretty hard to get a lot of color from the crayon onto the board. The description photo must have taken some serious effort. The board itself is thinner than I expected and doesn't feel overly durable if you're going to be attaching it to the wall and pulling it off often. My son likes it for writing messages but needs help to get the crayon erased. See my picture of the remaining crayon residue after really rubbing hard to get it off. The speckles help to camouflage it a bit.

Sticks very well, likely remove paint when removed

First, the sticky. I had thought it would detach from the back piece (like my floating shelves and more), so you could get to the sticky when removing from a surface and not take the paint. I was wrong, so now I've a small area that needs work even more than before. Highly recommend you check it over and think ahead, unlike me.New plan, replacing the sticky, put it on the kids door, and figure it can probably continue to see some use until it is time to repaint anyway. Maybe just cut it down to size and add it to my home office area as a white board. Also, at least now I know it is more durable than paint...The crayons work well to write on it, textured plastic surface allows them to write well. Colors are duller than shown in the stock photos, imagine using washable pens would solve that well.

Easy To Use & Great Quality

Its size is perfect to use in an office or classroom to leave encouraging messages or announcements for staff or students. The damp cloth worked well for erasing mistakes or drawings. I would recommend this product to everyone. Easy to use.

Fun, good quality, the colors need effort

This board left me with mixed thoughts. It is a good size it fits on a table or on the floor for easy coloring and has enough surface for a good-sized drawing. The back mount allows you to hang it on the wall for display and remove it easily when ready to do a new drawing. The board is slightly thin and lightweight, which makes it easy for the kids to carry it around. The crayons are sturdy, oversized, and come in a good mixture of vibrant colors. They do not stain your hand or smear while using. If you erase the board with a dry cloth, it takes a lot of rubbing to get the crayon cleanly off. If you use a damp cloth, it is easy and makes you question your sanity for having persisted with the dry cloth in the first place. That said, it takes effort to get good color saturation on the board. I sketched a couple of flowers to demonstrate. The crayons drew smoothly, but the colors are almost pale. To illustrate all the colors, I added some random doodles and lines. You can see in the photos how light the colors are. Some almost disappear. The secret to getting better color with these crayons is to outline your drawing in black. On the second doodle photo, half of one of the flowers is outlined in black to show the effect. It brings out the shape and the color of the petals. You can also get better color saturation by heavily filling in your letters or shapes. If you do both black outline and heavy shading you get a good, visible drawing and the colors appear more vibrant.Out of curiosity, I tested the board with a dry-erase marker. The dry erase colors were vivid and wiped off easily with a dry cloth. So, the board is still useful even if you run out of the wipe-away crayons. My grandson has fun sketching on this board. It is a good quality, will stay useful, and calls to your creative spirit.

Fun and Easy to Use — A Few Minor Drawbacks

We like the call-out design — it's playful and adds personality to any space. It's very easy to hang and handle, and the board is very light, which makes installation a breeze. We've always used dry markers and erasers in the past, so switching to crayons is a bit different. My only gripe is that whatever you write or draw is very hard to remove without using a spray cleaner or a wet cloth. That makes quick changes a bit more work than expected.Otherwise, it's a fun item, and the price feels somewhat reasonable for what you get.

10/10 would recommend. We love DoodleFace!

This is our second DoodleFace product and we love it just as much, if not more! We were pleasantly surprised to see how large it was when it arrived. We love that it also has a hook in the back to hang on the wall, such a neat idea! The quality of the materials are great and so easy to erase; we didn't even need water! My 8 year old daughter can't wait to use it daily to write us notes and draw pictures. I would definitely recommend this product!

We love Doodle Face!

My daughters love this product! It's our second Doodle Face board. This one has a feature that allows us to hang it on the wall and pop it on and off as often as we'd like! The crayons are easy to erase with the included towel eraser but the picture doesn't smudge while using the board!

A fun and durable product for little artists!

This is a fun, larger version of the crayon boards that we can mount on our wall! My kids liked that there was enough space for all of them to color at the same time. They were lucky enough to have a snow day to explore and play with their new toy! Currently they all want it in their own room, so we might just put it in the play area as it is such a popular choice. One improvement from our last board is that there is a convenient storage place in the crayon box for the wipe. We love DoodleFace!

Clean, Creative, and Practical — Great for Office and Content Creation

Not your regular dry erase board. As a real estate agent, I have dry erase boards in my office for my goals and to keep track of my business. What I dislike most is how I always end up with the marker on my hand when writing on it. Because this has a different coating and uses crayons, this does not happen. What's even better is the crayons that come with it also work on my current board so it is a win win for me! I did the thought bubble shape because I am planning to use it for my business in social media posts!! The colors of the crayons are vibrant!

Fun idea for a classroom.

It's a fun idea and concept. Love that it's erasable crayons, but it does need a little elbow grease to come clean. Because it needs crayons, these are different from the standard sort of dry-erase items. So be aware this may or may not work with what you have.

Clean, Quality Fun That Takes Children Away From Screen

Thought Bubble Dry-Erase Crayon Board by DoodleFace - Goodbye Dried-Out Markers, Smudges, and Mess - for Fun, Colorful, Cool Messages. Wall-Mount, Crayons and Eraser Included. Quality Made in USABrand: DoodleFace:Before I bought this DoodleFace Dry-Erase Crayon Board in the shape of a thought bubble I bought other things first. I started out by buying my children the little magnetic doodle boards to prevent them from wasting so much printer paper. Well, that didn't work because before long they were frustrated about not having the ability to use different colors. So, I then switched to regular, individual dry-erase boards for each of my three children which lasted longer but still didn't last because my children kept forgetting to put the caps back on the dry-erase markers so...*input old school suspense music* of course, pretty soon, one by one, the dry-erase markers dried out. That means, we were back to printer paper. they were using and wasting a lot of it and I was over it! As proud parents, we run across some art our children do that we want to hold onto but we know that we can't keep it all! I have 3 children that draw every single day. Not joking. Every day! That is a lot of paper waste. Well, that was until I ran across the Dry-Erase Crayon Board by DoodleFace. It comes in square-ish, round-ish, and thought bubble.I chose the thought bubble because I think this thought bubble is a blend of the square-ish and round-ish dry erase boards. I also think of my children as not being square or round, they're kind of a blend of both so I figured the shape of this dry erase board would be perfect for them. It was a big hit! Right out of the box they loved it and started to use it!Along with the dry erase board the package also includes the cute little wipe-away crayons and an eraser cloth. The crayons are what steals the show, of course. Since they are not like markers you can blend them to make different colors. You don't have to worry about unsightly stains on your hands, face, or clothes. There are 10 big, sturdy crayons - big like the ones children use in pre-school - that are super vibrant, don't dry out like dry-erase markers, don't smudge/smear or accidentally get on children's clothes like paint or markers do. The eraser cloth doesn't work very well when dry, so make sure the cloth is at least damp before you start wiping or you will be wiping forever to get a clean board. The board can be mounted on a wall with Command Strips that are included. When/if you want to take it off you simply pop it off then snap it back on when you're ready. This would make a great gift that a child of any age would be excited to receive and the price is wonderful so it won't break the bank.

Hard to wipe off

This is a fun idea, but the execution isn't as great as I hoped it would be. I tried using it and when you write, it's a little bit waxy. But the big problem that I found is that when you erase the crayon, it requires a pretty aggressive amount of elbow grease to actually get it off. And then once you do get it off, there is still a little bit of color left behind like it stains the board. I can't imagine being able to mount this on the wall and then erase it because it requires like two hands worth of strength to wipe off. So it's not practical for kids either. I'm giving four stars because it's a nice idea and it works OK but overall not perfect.
